The man behind Dole Productions, Amandla “DOLE” Lassiter, has done work with gospel’s finest. Megastars like Tye Tribbett and G.A., Kirk Franklin, and James Fortune, are just a few artists who have benefited from his special skills.
But to get there, Lassiter had to put in a lot of hard work over the years. As the son of a pastor, he was introduced to the gospel of Christ at a young age. Being in church all the time meant being around music all the time. Lassiter took keen interest in music, and the sound quality. Lassiter began his career at Greater White Rock Baptist Church. As the Director of Multimedia, he did sound reinforcements for the church, recorded audio for live services, and managed the schedule of volunteers for the ministry.
In 1997, he became the Director of Audio Ministry at Oasis of Refreshing Ministries in Wilmington, DE under Bishop Bruce Parham. In 2006, he became the Sound Engineer and Production Manager for Tye Tribbett and GA. Along with Tye Tribbett, he has lent his services to the following artists and events: Alive In America Tour Featuring: Tye Tribbett & GA, Israel & New Breed, Martha Munizzi, MSNBC Hardball: Live College Tour 08, Bishop Hezekiah Walker and Love Fellowship, JJ Hairston and Youthful Praise, Myron butler, James Fortune, Dorinda Clark Cole, KIKI Sheared. In 2009, Lassiter toured with Kirk Franklin for two years, and now tours with Donald Lawrence. During that time, he also provided services to Jill Scott, Jeff Bradshaw, Dave Patten and Lady GAGA. In 2012 to present, Lassiter serves as the Chief Audio engineer at the House of Hope Atlanta (Greater Travelers Rest Baptist Church Decatur, GA) under Dr. E. Dewey Smith, Jr. During this same time period, he worked on other projects. He was the Stage Manager for James Fortune live recording in Atlanta, GA. Also, he worked as the Production Manager and Front of House Engineer for Rickey Dillard and New G’s 25th anniversary live recording.
Lassiter holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from Cheyney University. Through the years, he has obtained multiple certifications, to include the following: Yamaha Digidesign, Digico, Sound Craft, Allen Heath, and Midas consoles. With these under his belt, it should come as no surprise that stars of the gospel world flood his resume. Lassiter’s education and experience have allowed Dole Productions to become the success it is today, enabling him to expand his vision to include audio installation. This department was created to provide the following services: audio upgrades, tuning systems, workshops, consulting, and system installations of various sizes. Dole Productions has provided audio services to over 50 churches Nationwide.
